Stephen Pidgeon Continues to Hone His Personality Disorder

Attorney Stephen Pidgeon is a busy little bigot. When he is not trying to take away LGBT rights in Washington State, he indulges in a considerable amount of conspiracy-based crackpottery.

You may recall that Pidgeon was the the point man on Washington's Referendum 71 which appeared on the November 2009 ballot. It's purpose was to eliminate domestic partnerships. It obviously failed. Now, the wayward bird seems intent on orchestrating a referendum to overturn the recently passed marriage equality law.

The one thing that Pidgeon doesn't seem to do is practice any meaningful law. He seems to be the lawyer, by default, when Orly Taitz is too busy.

In 2008, Pidgeon sued Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed for counting ballots cast for Obama. Pidgeon asserted that these were invalid because, according to Pidgeon, Obama isn’t a natural born citizen. The Washington State Supreme Court quickly dismissed the case.

In 2009 Pidgeon claims he found a record for a name change from "Barak Mounir Ubayd" to "Barack Hussein Obama" on October 14, 1982 in Skookumchuck, British Columbia.

That same year Pidgeon filed one of those ridiculous ad hoc "National Grand Jury" petitions in federal court on behalf of Patriot’s Heart Media Network and numerous individuals. The unhinged birther rhetoric is evident just from the listing of defendants:
BARRY SOETORO, a/k/a BARACK OBAMA, BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA, a/k/a BARRACK HUSSEIN OBAMA II, a/k/a BARRY OBAMA, NANCY PELOSI, in her authority within the Democrat National Committee, HOWARD DEAN, in his authority within the Democrat National Committee, and JOHN DOES and JANE DOES, 1-20, members of media and press organizations
Then there is this gem from January, 2010 in an open letter to Glenn Beck:
You are ill-informed on the "birther" issue. Barack Obama, by his own admission, was a British subject at birth. He has never denied having a Kenyan father, who himself was a British subject as a Kenyan native. This is easily established under the British Nationality Act of 1948. He is therefore disqualified to run for the office of the President, because the office is not available to subjects of other governments. The issue is very simple, and very obvious. Obama himself admitted that he wasn't a natural born citizen when he debated Alan Keyes in 2004.
Ah, but our Mr. Pidgeon is also reportedly a proponent of the Agenda 21 conspiracy theory.  Twenty years ago, the United Nations authored a non-binding plan to fight overpopulation, pollution, poverty and depletion of natural resources. According to Glenn Beck, by signing the accord, the United States was colluding with "internationalists" to compromise our sovereignty. To boobs like Beck and Pidgeon, Agenda 21 is a plan for the "New World Order." I guess that you have to glue the document to the wall, step back three feet, squint real hard and you will see the nefarious plot     clear as day.

Apparently nobody is too nutty for the anti-equality folks. Compared to whack jobs like Tony Perkins, Pidgeon may even seem moderately sane? Maybe not.
