Has NOM suffered irreparable damage due to their New Hampshire misadventures?

NOM, as proxy for the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, is feverishly working to repeal marriage equality in New Hampshire. In January, NOM breathlessly announced that a vote was forthcoming on February 1. Now, if they want to accomplish this in the current legislative session, they must pass a repeal by March 29. NOM hasn't bothered to explain why marriage equality must be repealed after three years.

Where are all of the New Hampshire citizens claiming that same-sex marriage has disadvantaged their "traditional" marriages?

National Organization for Marriage changed tactics over the last few days. They now claim:
Out-of-state billionaires used their fortunes to force same-sex marriage on the people of New Hampshire. But when voters had their say, an electoral landslide reset the legislature . . .
NOM's hypocrisy is astonishing. The overwhelming majority of their funding is derived from just four or five very wealthy donors. NOM and all of those donors are "out-of-state."

Furthermore, NOM does not reveal just how those evil doers were able to "force same-sex marriage on the people of New Hampshire." Then NOM goes on to suggest that the 2010 legislative election results were a referendum on marriage equality. That is unproved and, frankly, preposterous.

Where are all of the New Hampshire citizens claiming that same-sex marriage has disadvantaged their "traditional" marriages?

One thing that NOM hasn't done is to champion a cause for repealing marriage equality. They cannot. None of the "consequences" of same-sex marriage that they have used, in the past, to scare voters in referenda have come to pass. NOM cannot claim any harm due to marriage equality because it does not exist. Any efforts to do so will only highlight the fact that there is absolutely no reason to repeal marriage equality. It's perfectly understandable why they are resorting to nonsensical hyperbole.

Thus, in seeking to repeal marriage equality in New Hampshire, NOM has done irreparable damage to themselves     and they know it! I wonder if Brian Brown, NOM's president, will retain his job much past 2012.
