NOM: "Gimme, Gimme, GIMME!"

Not a day goes by when National Organization for Marriage does not come up with another "urgent" reason for donors to give them more money. They seem rather desperate. Perhaps the inevitability factor is beginning to really sink in. In ten years, nobody will admit to being part of a movement to ban gay marriage.

Now this:

Yes, NOM is whining about New York again. I no longer believe that they believe that New York will ever reverse marriage equality. This is just a cynical effort to extract some money from rubes who actually think that same-sex marriage could be voted on by the New York electorate.

The real entertainment value is garnered from the fact that the last time they "primaried" someone in New York, NOM caused the incumbent Republican to endorse the liberal Democrat (who won).

Dear Marriage Supporter,

A year ago, I made a promise to the people of New York...

...that I would not rest until the people of New York were given their right to vote on the marriage question...

...and to hold the politicians in Albany accountable for their backroom dealmaking [sic] and for selling out their constituents by forcing same-sex marriage on the state.

In particular, we have targeted the four Republican Senators who lied to and betrayed their constituents by flipping their votes at the last moment, thereby ensuring the legalization of same-sex marriage.
