Gotta Laugh at This NOM Headline

According to the blog of National Organization for Marriage: Mormon Conference Renews Opposition to SSM, Commitment to Helping Children More. Seriously? Tell me this cannot be true. I am astonished that a group of men (in magic underwear), who funded and choreographed a big chunk of Prop 8, remain committed to denying equal rights to gay people.

The post goes on to say:

Apostle Dallin H. Oaks of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints renews the church's opposition to same-sex marriage and renews the commitment to strong, healthy marriages which best serve the needs of children.

I agree that strong, healthy marriages best serve the needs of children. The only children affected by equal marriage are those being raised by gay and lesbian couples. Those kids would have more security with marriage parents. So what's the problem?
