Eerily Familiar Speech by Mormon Apostle in 1954

We have all heard that it's not just marriage that we are after. Oh no. We have an agenda that we want to promote in schools disguised as "safety." Once they can marry, what else will they want? According to this Mormon elder, African-Americans had an agenda. The intended inference is that they want to have sex with white women much like today's dog whistle is that we want to "indoctrinate" or "recruit" children in schools. The "consequences" of equality:
Address By: Apostle Mark E. Petersen
Brigham Young University - August 27, 1954

It is a good thing to understand exactly what the Negro has in mind ... so I would like to talk first of all about the Negro and his civil rights.
...
I think I have read enough to give you an idea of what the Negro is after. He is not just seeking the opportunity of sitting down in a cafe where white people sit. He isn't just trying to ride on the same streetcar or the same Pullman car with white people ... it appears that the Negro seeks absorption with the white race. He will not. be satisfied until he achieves it by intermarriage. That is his objective and we must face it. We must not allow our feelings to carry us away, nor must we feel so sorry for Negroes that, we will open our arms and embrace them with everything we have. Remember the little statement that they used to say about sin, "First we pity, then endure, then embrace."
This guy was also the Church's most prolific writer about masturbation.

Be assured that you can be cured of your difficulty. Many have been, both male and female, and you can be also if you determine that it must be so ... If you truly make up your mind that you will be cured, then you will have the strength to resist any tendencies which you may have and any temptations which may come to you.
What does that sound like?
