National Organization for Marriage is mad as hell and they're not going to take it anymore

Today, the American Academy of Pediatrics came out in support of marriage equality. They did so largely in recognition of the children that gay couples are raising     something that tends to get overlooked in conservative Christian circles.

National Organization for Marriage is not pleased.

We are disappointed that the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has taken the transparently political step of endorsing same-sex marriage in an attempt to influence the US Supreme Court. They have done a grave disservice to America’s children by endorsing a policy that intentionally deprives children of either a mother or a father. Their position seems to be that the unique contributions of both mothers and fathers do not matter. Which parent can a child do without — her mother or her father?

First of all, every organization in Christendom has been issuing statements designed to influence the US Supreme Court. The Three Amigos     Anderson, George and Gigris     have more backlinks than their are Internet circuits. They even trotted out House Faggot, Doug Mainwaring to campaign against equality. And what the fuck is that little marriage march all about? Oh, and how about all the amicus briefs?

Furthermore, marriage equality deprives children of absolutely nothing. The rhetorical question is nonsense. Again, gays are currently raising some two million children. Some of those are committed couples who would marry. Their marriages would provide stability and security to their children. NOM's problem is that even Scalia is going to have a hard time dealing with the "responsible procreation" argument.
