Bigotry is NOT an "alternative point of view!"

Rick Santorum is a bigot. That he is a bigot is indisputable. Rick Santorum has never retracted, or apologized for, his infamous:
Rick Santorum
In every society, the definition of marriage has not ever to my knowledge included homosexuality. That's not to pick on homosexuality. It's not, you know, man on child, man on dog, or whatever the case may be. It is one thing. And when you destroy that you have a dramatic impact on the quality.
Santorum's defense was that his remarks were "taken out of context." If anything, over the years, Santorum's disparagement of LGBT citizens has only become more strident and more hateful.

Santorum is as suitable a speaker to children in a public school as David Duke.

National Organization for Marriage is a victim-creation-factory. Rick Santorum's appearance at a public school in Michigan on April 24 was cancelled. Actually, it has since been reinstated. NOM's predictable reaction (on behalf of their favorite Knight Templar):

The new "tolerance" -- simply blocking pro-marriage figures from sharing their views on any topic.
First of all neither NOM nor Santorum are "pro-marriage." Both are anti-equality. They don't get to redefine our language. Secondly, Santorum has since confirmed that his topic was to be marriage inequality. Finally, we are trying to make our public schools safe and tolerant places for LGBT students. Santorum only brings his agenda of hate.

Today, NOM has made a victim out of Santorum (and themselves) because rational school administrators are concerned over the intolerance that he might expose children to. At the same time they are claiming that they are victims because those same schools might teach children the fact that gays sometimes legally marry which, of course, is not in any curriculum anyway.

As a society, which value do we want to expose children to; Bigotry or equality for all?
