In spite of NOM's threats, another IL GOPer supports marriage equality

Ed Sullivan Jr.
Illinois Rep. Ed Sullivan, Jr has come out in support of the pending marriage equality bill. Sullivan is also chairman of the House Republican campaign committee. He has said that he expects others to follow. Sullivan is now in his tenth year of service in the Illinois General Assembly.

Supporters of the bill received a boost when Republican US Senator for Illinois, Mark Kirk, came out in favor of marriage equality this past week. They are close to having the 60 votes necessary for the bill to pass.
