NOM's willful stupidity

National Organization for Marriage will link to anything that they think serves their cause. The people at NOM who do this lack the intellectual curiosity to actually investigate the underlying issue. Such is the case with NOM's blog headline:
They go on to explain:
This week, Wesley Smith of the Weekly Standard reported that California would be considering AB 460, a bill that would mandate group insurance coverage for so-called gay and lesbian "infertility." What in the world does that bizarre phrase mean?
The intent is to suggest that the bill in question is tailored to gay people. Either they are intentionally misleading or they were too stupid or too incurious to actually read the bill.

The bill adds anti-discrimination language to the existing bill requiring infertility coverage that became effective on  January 1, 1990.
(g) Coverage for the treatment of infertility shall be offered and provided without discrimination on the basis of age, ancestry, color, disability, domestic partner status, gender, gender expression, gender identity, genetic information, marital status, national origin, race, religion, sex, or sexual orientation.
The intent and effect are unambiguous and transparent.

UPDATE: Now Maggie Gallagher is doing it too.
