Brian Brown asking for money because of the "lies of same-sex marriage"

No reaction to Delaware equality from National Organization for Marriage except to ask for more money with baseless fear mongering.

Money down the toilet
Brian Brown sent me an email titled "The Lies Of Same-Sex Marriage." We have been seeing this theme develop since April 17 when Robert George made a similar claim based on an obscure Russian author's comments at a seminar in Australia. Overall, the basic premise of this nonsense, as authored by Mr. Brown:
It is a terrible lie that the push to redefine marriage is simply about couples who just want to love each other, receive civil protections and leave everyone else alone.
That's news to me. I don't know, or know of, any gay couple that wants anything more than "to love each other, receive civil protections and leave everyone else alone" other than raising their children in a supportive environment. According to Mr. Brown:
More and more evidence is coming to light in recent days exposing this lie.
Not really. It's just the same BS that George started being recycled by others on Catholic blogs. But Mr. Brown has found a smoking gun:
Last week, none other than the President of the United States exposed this lie with his words, when he said in a press conference that "one of the extraordinary measures of progress that we've seen in this country has been the recognition that the LGBT community deserves full equality, not just partial equality, not just tolerance but a recognition that they're wholly a part of the American family."

Read that again: "not just tolerance, but a recognition…"
Wow. Behold the evil that we want our families to have legal recognition. Brown then recycles George's nonsense and then indulges in the usual victimology. Brown thinks that religion provides a rational legal basis to discriminate in public accommodations.

As NOM continues to fail to prevent marriage equality the talking points get crazier.
