Focus on the Family: 'Prop. 8 marriage case is still alive'

Apparently, God has to boom from the heavens: "Proposition 8 is finished!"

According to an email today from our friends at Focus on the Family:
Does your vote count?

If you live in California and voted for marriage to be defined as one man and one woman through the passage of Proposition 8 in 2008, you may wonder. After the U.S. Supreme Court's refusal to hear the Prop. 8 case on a technicality last month, a federal court gave the premature green light for state county clerks to begin issuing same-sex marriage licenses. And, the clerks did just that—despite the vote of more than seven million people who approved Prop. 8.

If you live in another ballot-friendly state you may watch what's going on in California and ask the same question: Is voting worth the effort?

The answer is yes, and in California the Prop. 8 marriage case is still alive as pro-marriage attorneys continue to bring new legal elements in support of the state marriage amendment.
