Robert George takes a cheap shot at President Obama on Benghazi of all things

Robert P. George
Princeton Professor Robert George is an Opus Dei cultist and co-founder of the anti-gay National Organization for Marriage.

Today at the conservative Catholic journal, First Things, George posts A Question for the President. George rhetorically asks:
I respectfully request that you tell us, the American people, when you learned that the murders of our ambassador and three other of our fellow citizens in Benghazi, Libya was not the work of a spontaneously formed mob enflamed <sic> by a movie, but was rather the work of a terrorist organization that executed a planned attack on the anniversary of 9/11/2001?
George goes on from there to accuse the President of deliberately making false statements.

We know why the administration and the President said it was a spontaneous attack. While they were wrong, they were relying on the nest guidance available. The CIA thought that it was a spontaneous attack and said so in the talking points that they gave to the administration (pdf). That was the initial assessment, it was wrong, and when they realized it was wrong, they said so.

As then Secretary Clinton said, "What difference does it make?"

Hillary Clinton
Obama demolished Benghazi as a talking point when Romney made the mistake, in one of the debates, of claiming that the President failed to call it a terrorist attack. Once the President was re-elected, the fake controversy lingered with the longer term objective of damaging potential presidential contender Hillary Clinton. Mrs. Clinton is pro-choice and a proponent of gay rights. Given that the President is a lame duck, I suspect that he is really aiming at Clinton.
