NOM: More BS - Less Subtlety

These days National Organization for Marriage seems to be asking for money on a daily basis. This is the graphic in its original size that is on the bottom of gimme du jour:
Sometimes I wonder if there really is a matching donor. The folks at NOM are pathological liars — something that they continue to demonstrate. In today's email they continue to suggest that there is some possibility of a marriage amendment (which is patently absurd).

In addition, NOM claims that New Mexico Governor Martinez is the marriage decider. Thus far, legal efforts have failed to get the eight counties issuing marriage licenses to cease. A hearing is scheduled for October.

The California tax measure that would have stripped tax exempt status from youth groups that discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity has been shelved (it requires two-thirds majorities in both houses). Once again NOM describes nondiscrimination as "affirmation."
And in California, legislation that would have stripped groups of their tax exemption if their beliefs and practices don't affirm concepts like "gender identity" and gay "marriage" and other ideas that fly in the face of the teachings of virtually every faith tradition was tabled. Hundreds of Californians answered NOM's action alert and contacted their representatives demanding that the bill be killed.
We neither seek nor require anyone's approval. Nondiscrimination means equal treatment and opportunity.

I really hope that Illinois becomes an equal marriage state this fall. It might shut Brown up for a day or two. Maybe.
