NOM wants you to do two entirely irrelevant things

Brian Brown's "Two Things" is dedicated to a third; Send National Organization for Marriage some money. Please!

After a profoundly verbose summary of how great NOM is and how great the things that NOM does are, Brown finally gets to the "two things:"
I'm asking you today to reaffirm your stance for marriage, for religious liberty, for the rights of children, and for the health and well-being of our society.

Here's two simple ways you can do this:

First, you can visit our Advocacy Center and, with just a few clicks, raise your voice for marriage and speak truth to power. Some of our current highlighted action items include:
  1. Urge Congress to Support the Federal Marriage Protection Amendment.
  2. Demand Answers from the IRS and Human Rights Campaign.

Brown must think that his supporters and potential supporters are idiots. There is exactly zero potential for a federal "marriage protection" amendment. Zero! It's not going to happen.

As for the IRS, I concede that people could be easily deceived. The link leads to:
The IRS illegally leaked confidential tax documents belonging to the National Organization for Marriage to the hostile same-sex marriage advocacy group, Human Rights Campaign. NOM’s demands for information about what investigations have been held have all been rejected by Treasury and Justice officials. Now we are asking the House Ways and Means Committee to use its powers of subpoena to demand answers and to discover the perpetrators of this outrageous crime.
My own letter to the Ways and Means Committee is below:
