NOM shares email list with pray-away-the-gay organization

I just received an email from Restored Hope Network that was sent to an
email address that I only use for National Organization for Marriage. Restored Hope Network is run by Anne Paulk. She and her former husband, John Paulk, were once the stars of the ex-gay movement. Last April John admitted that he is still gay, renounced ex-gay "therapy" and formally apologized to the gay community.

Anne, on the other hand, is still on the gravy train. It's strange how we never meet any ex-gay people who do not have an economic interest in claiming to be, well, "ex-gay."

The fact that NOM shared their email list demonstrates how thoroughly invested they are in claiming that gay people don't really exist. The gay is just bad behavior.

Dear           ,

What a joy to announce the first ever Hope Update, Restored Hope's inaugural newsletter! Our goal is to keep you up to date with the happenings and encouragement that we have in Christ.

A very important part of this newsletter is our call to 40 Days of Prayer. If you would like to join us in that, please email me your interest to and I will add you to the prayer topic list that covers each day from October 17th through November 25th.

This newsletter mentions only a few of all the regional ministry opportunities around the country. To find out the entire listing of opportunities, please visit our website:, then select Events, then Regional Events.

It is our delight to stand firm in the knowledge (and experience) of transformation in the surrendered lives of believers. Jesus truly is the Pearl of great price and the provision for sin and godliness, even in the area of obeying Him by leaving behind the sin of homosexuality!

What great hope we have in Christ!
