Doc: Fedral Court Upholds NJ Ban on Sexual Reorientation of Minors

Gavel and Legal Text
A New Jersey law banning therapies to affect the sexual orientation or gender identity of a minor was upheld on Friday, November 9, 2013 as constitutional.

The decision in federal court in Camden NJ establishes that therapy is conduct in contrast to speech. Moreover, there is a dearth of non-anecdotal evidence that such therapies are safe and effective.

This is a very interesting opinion. It is easy to read and not over-burdened with legalize. I suggest starting with Issue "V. First Amendment — Freedom of Speech" on page 22. It has bearing on numerous LGBT issues. I'm sure that Liberty Counsel will be complaining about biased judges come Monday.
