Pope Honors Gay Teen Who Developed Pancreatic Cancer Test

Jack Andraka and the Pope
Jack Andraka is an amazing 16-year-old kid. He developed a cost-effective test to diagnose pancreatic cancer —a particularly lethal form of the disease. He has received considerable recognition for his work. He never expected to be honored by a Pope.

He was awarded the Vatican’s International Giuseppe Sciacca Award for his work. - See more at: http://www.gaystarnews.com/article/pope-francis-honors-gay-teen-genius-cancer-test181113#sthash.XMkd3ezh.dpuf
Over the weekend, Pope Francis presented Andraka with the Vatican’s International Giuseppe Sciacca Award for his work.

Andraka told WBAL over the weekend, “It’s really amazing to be recognized by the Vatican, especially as a gay scientist. I mean this would be unheard of just a few years ago. To be part of this bridge of progress is really amazing.”
