AFA: "Chevrolet mocks God's plan for marriage and family"

Gay Couple in Chevrolet Advertisement
The anti-gay hate group, American Family Association, is quite perturbed that a couple of Chevrolet commercials include fleeting glimpses of gay couples. Chevrolet is demonstrating its recognition of diversity. The ad shows, what appears to be, a single male parent and a number of interracial couples of various compositions. AFA doesn't like interracial marriages either I suspect. According to AFA:

Chevrolet is helping drive the crusade to normalize two men having sex with each other as a "family." They threw in a couple of children to help legitimize the impression.

To be most effective, urge Chevrolet to stop promoting homosexuality by taking the following actions:
That is followed by a request for the usual annoyances like telephone calls, chats with representatives on the company's web site and using social media. Somehow I doubt that General Motors is interested in soliciting AFA's input regarding the production of their television commercials. AFA seems incapable of discarding the preposterous idea that positive images of gays "promotes homosexuality." The don't seem to respect the collective intellect of their followers.

In 2012, the most recent year for which information is available, AFA recorded revenues of $18 million. Expenses exceeded revenues by $4.5 million. They don't seem to be very effective stewards of donors' money. In spite of the losses, they managed to pay founder and former chairman, Don Wildmon, $152 thousand for doing nothing.
