NOM begging for recurring monthly donors - FLUSH!

Money Down the Crapper
National Organization for Marriage is out with a new email blast today titled “The Backbone of the Marriage Fight.” They are attempting is to get people (who will be called Sustaining Partners) to commit to recurring monthly donations. But here's the fun part:
The proclamations of federal judges across the country (in Utah, Oklahoma, New Mexico...) and the disgraceful betrayal of duty by government officials to defend the law (in California, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Oregon...) can be more than a bit discouraging. Judicial activism complicit with cowardice...

But let's not forget what happens when ordinary citizens like you and me DO fight back: Millions of Americans rallied to the defense of Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson who stood for marriage and traditional Christian values. While the A&E Network suspended him, the "pro Phil" public outcry forced them to relent, and he's back on the show. Even the US Supreme Court has signaled that federal court rulings imposing gay marriage stand a strong likelihood of being overturned on appeal.
It is simply disgraceful that individuals (GOPers and Dems) honor our Constitution, including due process and equal protection. Oh my. Poor NOM!

And just like that, we're back to the Duck Schmuck. I thought that even NOM would have enough dignity to stop calling attention to an ignorant backwoods redneck. Later on:
Brian S. Brown - National Organization for Marriage
I'll be honest with you — we're up against a powerful, well-funded, organized and militant cadre of radicals supported by liberal elites in politics, law, media and pop culture. And we will never be able to equal the astronomical amounts raised by the dozens of radical groups trying to redefine marriage.
Oh do be "honest" Brian Brown (given the lies about gay people that your organization perpetuates). Who knew that we were "militant" and "radical?" Just a reminder that NOM is a proxy for the US Conference of Catholic Bishops. They have the support of the entire Church structure. Portraying NOM as an underdog is disingenuous.

We won't know until October how they are doing financially. However, they rely on donations from just a handful of people. Should just one of their wealthy donors pull the plug, NOM goes down the drain — or the crapper.
