NOM still seeking the impossible - A constitutional "marriage amendment"

National Organization for Marriage
National Organization for Marriage has reacted to the federal court ruling in Texas striking down the state's marriage equality ban. By now, we all know NOM's verbiage by rote. No need for extensive quotes as the headline pretty much sums it up: “National Organization for Marriage Laments Today's Ruling in Texas, Says Citizens' Values Are Being 'Trampled'.” They continue to express their "disappointment" and "anger" with an activist judge … (you know the rest of the rhetoric).

Eventually they conclude:
"Congress needs to send a federal marriage amendment to the states for ratification and put an end to this mockery of government," said Brown. "From the President to the Attorney General, to activist federal judges around the nation and even to some state attorneys general and governors in the various states, we're seeing a shameful lack of integrity and an utter rebellion against the rule of law and the sovereign rights of the American people. Power needs to be returned to the American people to uphold the right of the people to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman."
Just how delusional are these people? How spectacularly inept are they with mathematics? They have zero chance (none, nada, zip) of getting a two-thirds majority in both houses of Congress. It is an impossibility. Even if lightning were to strike, they don't have the support of 38 states.

While GOPers pander to the Christian right they exist on funds from business and business opposes marriage discrimination. Even the Koch Brothers are supporters of marriage equality. No amount of prayer is going to change any of this.

Speaking of delusional, is anyone actually continuing to fund this train wreck? In spite of how bumbling and unqualified Brian Brown is, I suppose that they would be hard pressed to find anyone better.
