Big Surprise: Gallaudet College Officer Loses Bias Claim

Graphic from Frank Schubert's anti-equality campaign in Maryland
In October of 2012 Angela McCaskill, the chief diversity officer at Gallaudet College, was placed on administrative leave with pay after it was determined that she signed a petition opposing marriage equality in Maryland. She was  was soon reinstated. McCaskill became the victim du jour. Frank Schubert, political director of National Organization for Marriage, dishonestly proclaimed that this was a reason for Maryland to enshrine marriage discrimination. Family Research Council's Peter Sprigg was among many people who chimed in. Oh the repression of Christians by homosexuals.

A year later McCaskill got herself a lawyer and sued Gallaudet along with a co-worker and the co-worker's partner for $16 million alleging defamamation and discrimination. U.S. District Judge James Boasberg dismissed McCaskill's complaint in its entirety for failure to state a valid claim.
