How a transgender rights ordinance creates a "violation of civil rights"

Only Anthony Verdugo at Florida's Christian Family Coalition could voice anything this insane. Per an email blast:
On Tuesday, September 16th, Miami-Dade County Commissioner Audrey Edmonson recklessly re-introduced a previously defeated discriminatory "transsexual" amendment that creates discrimination and promotes civil rights violations. The incendiary proposal would legalize discrimination by allowing employees to be fired from their jobs and employers to be sued if they don’t agree with letting men claiming to be women to use women's bathrooms, showers, dressing rooms or locker rooms, and vice versa.

It's always the same. There is always a marauding horde of "cross-dressers" attacking Christian values. Verdugo is the same schmuck who said that marriage equality denies citizens their constitutional rights. Verdugo insists that he has the constitutional right to discriminate is the workforce or society in general.

This rhetoric is the equivalent of the following:

On Tuesday, September 16th, Miami-Dade County Commissioner Audrey Edmonson recklessly re-introduced a previously defeated discriminatory pro-Jew and anti-Christian "non-discrimination" amendment that creates discrimination and promotes civil rights violations. The incendiary proposal would legalize discrimination by allowing employees to be fired from their jobs and employers to be sued if they don’t agree that not everyone must come to Jesus for salvation before it's too late.
