NOM front group honors Roy Moore with an award

“Four things about homosexuals piss me off”
On Wednesday the Coalition of African American Pastors (CAAP) announced that Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore would receive their first ever “Letter from Birmingham Jail Courage Award” in recognition of Justice Moore’s  defense of traditional marriage.

Remember Bill Owens and the Coalition of African American Pastors? CAAP is, or was, just a National Organization for Marriage front group. In addition to whatever NOM is paying Bill Owens, information filed with the IRS reveals that they are contributing $35,000 per year to the William Owens Ministry. Furthermore, Bill's wife, Deborah, claims to be NOM's “Church Outreach Coordinator” so she is on the payroll as well.
Bill Owens and CAAP were put in play as part of NOM's stated desire to drive a wedge between the African-American and gay communities. Meanwhile, the NAACP and most of the remaining African-American pillars of the civil rights era are vocal supporters of same-sex marriage and gay rights in general.

Dr. King would probably be appalled that his famous letter is being used to champion the denial of civil rights to a minority group.
