T-Party lawmaker stridently opposed to marriage equality in TX has been divorced FOUR times

That's right. Tea Party Texas State Representative Tony Tinderholt is now on his fifth marriage (to a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader). You would think that the guy would have the common sense not to involve himself in the contentious marriage equality fight in TX. Nope.

Rep. Tinderholt recently filed a judicial conduct complaint against state District Judge David Wahlberg, who permitted Texas' first same-sex marriage on Feb. 19.

Judge Wahlberg allowed Suzanne Bryant and Sarah Goodfriend to be married due to the “the severity and uncertainty of Plaintiff Goodfriend’s health condition.” Ms. Goodfriend has end stage ovarian cancer. According to Rep. Tinderholt:
On February 19, Judge David Wahlberg issued a ruling that the state’s ban on same-sex marriage was unconstitutional and ordered a circuit court clerk to issue a marriage license to a same-sex couple. This judge deliberately violated statutory law that requires judges to notify the Office of Attorney General before ruling on constitutionality.

Today, I filed an official complaint with the state commission on judicial conduct. When we have an activist judge making decisions outside the law, regardless of the issue, then no Texan is safe.
Except … it was Probate Judge Guy Herman, not Wahlberg, who ruled the same-sex marriage ban unconstitutional. That was a different case involving a survivor’s claim to the estate of her late partner. Furthermore Tinderholt is wrong on the law which only requires notification prior to final judgment which has not occurred.

Tinderholt is a retired Army Major and a current major embarrassment. INCOMING!!!
