The simple question that they refuse to answer

I have sent out scores of emails with a simple question. No replies — not one. Try to tweet it if you like. Prepare to be ignored. The question:

If a same sex couple is raising a child will that child be advantaged or disadvantaged if his or her parents marry?

I suspect that their lawyers are going to have to answer this question on Tuesday. It may very well be the key to marriage equality. The truthful answer is “advantaged.” Then why would the state intentionally disadvantage a child by refusing to allow his or her parents to marry?
