I guess they got tired of protesting marriage equality

The traditionalist Catholic cult known as TFP Student Action (or “red-caped loons” if you prefer) has been protesting against socialism. According to their website “On November 9 fourteen volunteers with TFP Student Action traveled to the University of Delaware to distribute educational material about the dangers of socialism. The young TFP members gave out more than 1,500 fliers to students on campus.”

They go on to explain:
While four of the volunteers played the bagpipes, a professor thanked Evan Olwell for doing the campaign: “I teach Spanish here at UD," she said. "Being from Cuba, I totally understand the importance of what you’re doing. Unfortunately, many college kids don’t really know what socialism is, nor how bad it is. We can’t let this happen in America! Thank you!”
These folks are big on bagpipes. I'm not sure why. Some – if not most or all – of these student volunteers come from TFP's prep school, St. Louis De Montfort Academy in Herndon PA. It's a fourth-rate boarding school that is not accredited and kids spend more time in prayer than academic study. There are no paid faculty, relying on volunteer teachers. And the remarkable thing is that parents actually pay to intentionally give their child a crappy education.

Throughout the summer and early fall the kids from TFP had been protesting marriage equality as if Obergefell v. Hodges never happened. Protesting socialism is kind of like a return to daddy. Tradition, Family and Property was founded by Plinio CorrĂȘa de Oliveira in Brazil in 1960. Its principle goal was to oppose agrarian reforms that were much needed throughout Central and South America. This aligned TFP with right wing dictators like Chile's Augusto Pinochet. Although they now claim otherwise, TFP was aligned with right wing Boer groups in South Africa as proponents of apartheid on the premise that anti-apartheid groups were communists.

The American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property is also known as America Needs Fatima. The entire enterprise is pseudo-elitist. Their pamphlet Ten Reasons to Reject Socialism is strangely similar to their reasons to reject “homosexual ‘marriage’.” I guess that the same crackpot wrote both.
