And just what is pissing off NOM today?

Someone who is still on the payroll of National Organization for Marriage figured that they need to get all of their angst into a headline — just in case people won't read the text. That begat:

NOM Rips President Obama For Honoring Plaintiff Whose Case Redefined Marriage; Demands Empty Seat In Audience Honoring 50 Million Voters Whose Votes Were Stolen By US Supreme Court Ruling

“Rips?” Who writes this crap? In any event it is unlikely that President Obama will be terribly concerned because he is being ripped by NOM. Just one hyperbolic paragraph will do:
“It's an outrage that President Obama is honoring the extermination of true marriage in our nation's laws as a result of an anti-constitutional, illegitimate ruling of the US Supreme Court,” said Brian Brown, NOM's president. “President Obama is trying to honor something that is completely dishonorable because it strips from the law the truth of marriage as the union of one man and one woman, and substitutes a fiction from the left that marriage can be anything you want it to be.”
“Extermination?” Who writes this crap? Let us remember that Brian Brown's problem is that marriage equality is against the teachings of the Catholic Church. The hyperbole is in service to the ultra-conservative faithful (Catholics actually support equality greater than the general public).

This schmuck should stop saying that a ruling of the Supreme Court of the United States is unconstitutional or illegitimate. It is moronic. For more than 200 years, Marbury v. Madison has served as precedent. The Supreme Court is the final interpreter of the Constitution. Mr. Brown needs to repeat junior high civics. Mr. Brown is probably trying to find a new job that doesn't require saying “want fries with that?”
