Follow-up: Brian Brown Caught Red Handed

Brian S. Brown

Some of you may recall this post on November 4, 2015. Brian Brown was boasting about how National Organization for Marriage was responsible for the defeat of the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance (HERO):
NOM was a major financial contributor to the Campaign for Houston, the grassroots group that spearheaded the referendum, and we worked hard to organize our supporters all over the country to contribute directly to the campaign, and to get out to vote against the ordinance.
All of the campaign finance reports are in. According to the reports NOM contributed … nothing. Zero. Not one dime. I'll send Mr. Brown an email but he won't respond. If someone called me a liar I sure as hell would respond if the facts were on my side. I should also mention that there are very few financial contributions from outside of Texas. One additional contribution that I find noxious is a second check for $250.00 from Andrew Schlafly in New Jersey — Phyllis' faggot son. NOM cannot truthfully claim that they were instrumental in creating donations to the campaign.

On a related matter I am still looking for the donor of the $2.2 million who kept NOM's light on during 2014. It's a big haystack but I might get lucky.
