AFA: "Franklin Graham warns of impending doom"

Franklin Graham
American Family Association's “news” blog features a piece posted Sunday night titled “Franklin Graham warns of impending doom.” The fact is that the fundamentalist and rabidly anti-gay preacher is always warning of impending doom, often for different reasons.

Preachers have been warning of impending doom since the first century CE. It has the same predictable effect: In ancient times the warning created converts. These days it makes the cash registers ring.

The piece reads:
Billy Graham Evangelistic Association President Franklin Graham is worried that with Americans directing all of their attention to the bickering taking place between presidential campaigns as the primaries are under way this election season, citizens are turning a blind eye to the writing on the wall displayed through horrific events taking place across the globe.
The only thing that Graham is worried about is that less attention (and money) is being paid to him.
"Is the world imploding?” the son of iconic world evangelist Billy Graham asked on his latest Facebook post. “While the United States is focused on its own politics, the world is unraveling.”
And later on:
God to hit the reset button?

Graham then turned to Scripture and urged his Facebook friends to do one the most powerful thing they can do as Christians — pray for their leaders.

“It is imperative that we remember to pray for all 'those in authority' as God has commanded in His Word (1 Tim. 2:1-3),” the vocal minister stressed while referring to the New Testament passage.
Graham is more cynical than I am. He doesn't believe this BS any more than I do.
