Another baker wants the right of approval

David and Edie Delorme own Kern's Bake Shop in Longview, TX. They turned away a gay couple and now they are upset by the opprobrium. The sob story according to the anti-gay hate group American Family Association:
On Feb. 17, two homosexuals decided to test the Delormes' faith when they ordered a wedding cake for their same-sex wedding.
Test their faith? The gay couple probably decided to buy a fucking cake. It's what they, the bakers, do. They bake cakes. That is their business. They have probably baked cakes for people on their third marriages. Suppose they decide that they would not serve a Jewish couple? The couple did not ask the bakers to celebrate their marriage. They asked for a cake. Customer meets provider.
"I was up front with them," Edie told FoxNews. "I said, 'I'm sorry but we don't provide wedding cakes for homosexual marriages."
Translation: “We don't serve your kind here.” “Up front with them?” What does that even mean? Is that some form of politeness accompanying the bigotry.
"We don't do cakes that might conflict with our spiritual convictions," she said. "It was not something personal against the two young men. We just need to be able to run our business in a way that honors God."
Then post a goddamned sign that says “these are our spiritual convictions” and we won't bother you with our business:

Today, David and Edie are under a vicious and unrelenting attack by homosexuals. Their family and business have been threatened with violence, hate-filled comments have forced them to shut down their Facebook page, and their Yelp review page has been filled with filthy and Christophobic comments.
What these people are really after is to shame the gay couple and to demonstrate their disapproval. They sell cake. They do not sell endorsements or blessings. Their approval is neither sought nor required. Perhaps these people are not suited for ownership of a public accommodation.

But this is Texas!

Texas law is on the Delormes' side, protecting their right to run their business according to the dictates of their faith. They have obtained legal representation in face of the numerous threats by homosexual activists.
Sadly, they are correct. What's next? A press release from ADF or Liberty Counsel? Why other than to trumpet a new self-manufactured victim of sinister gay people? I will tell you why. They will use this paradoxically as some sort of example to demonstrate why LGBT American citizens should not be free of discrimination through public policy.

The real victims are the couple that was denied service. The real victims are LGBT people who put up with this bullshit every day.
