Oh no - NOM is running anti-Trump TV ads in South Carolina

National Organization for Marriage has decided (this week) that it might be more useful than a dead cat by running TV ads against Donald Trump (in effect for Ted Cruz). The ad attacks the fact that Trump said that the Supreme Court's decision in Obergefell v. Hodges in June is the “law of the land.” In point of fact that is, well … a fact. We can pretend otherwise but I could pretend that I am the pope and put an end to the farce.

They might not like it but gay couples have a constitutional right to marry in all 50 states. No sane person wants to re-litigate the matter because it only affects those thus wed. Now we all know that the Church is upset over all this equality. However, when it comes to public policy, the Church is more irrelevant than NOM.

The ad, by the way, is attributed to the NOM Victory Fund. I'll have to check to see if that is a 527. More likely that, too, is make believe. It is sure to propel Trump to victory in South Carolina.
