You will be pleased to know that Washington County, Tenn. rejected a same-sex marriage resolution

It required nearly six hours of deliberation and more than 800 people packed the county courthouse. 57 people gave testimony. The proposed resolution from Commissioner Forrest Boreing asked the state to uphold its original definition of marriage, as that of between one man and one woman. In the end it had 12 yeas and 11 nays. However resolutions require 13 votes. Supporters reportedly stormed out of the courthouse while opponents erupted in cheers.

Get a grip. Either way it is irrelevant. Gay couples have a constitutional right to marry. That is the law of the land regardless of what some people in rural Tennessee think. We neither seek nor require their approval.
