A tale of two activists one year out

Evan Wolfson

Evan Wolfson:

On Thursday Dentons, the worlds largest law firm, announced that Evan Wolfson has signed on as senior counsel. Wolfson will be an adviser on diversity initiatives at Dentons which includes sitting on the firm's U.S. Diversity and Inclusion Committee. He will also work for clients on human rights and public policy issues. Wolfson is a 1983 graduate of Harvard Law School. His thesis was on the subject of framing the legal argument for gay marriage as a human rights issue. Evan has been named a Distinguished Visitor from Practice at Georgetown Law Center, where he teaches law and social change. Evan has also been an adjunct professor of law at Columbia University and Rutgers University Law Schools, and a teaching fellow in political philosophy at Harvard College. Evan is currently furthering the freedom to marry in Australia, Cuba, the Czech Republic and Japan.
Brian S. Brown

Brian S. Brown:

Meanwhile Brian S. Brown is mired in futility with another silly marriage march. The head of National Organization for Marriage will be schlepping around DC on Saturday with a few hundred of the faithful to protest marriage equality. Brown has accepted a concurrent position as president of World Congress of Families. WCF is designated an anti-gay hate group by SPLC. Brown's acceptance of an additional position is possibly an indication that even he realizes that NOM is nearing the end (actually it has overstayed its visa).
