It's a miracle: Anti-DADT repeal arguments reconstitute themselves as anti-transgender

Ron Crews
Ron Crews, head of the very anti-gay Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty doesn't like the new transgender acceptance policy put in place by the Pentagon. I have to assume that the Joint Chiefs had no major concerns or this would not have gone into effect. Crews, you may recall, had a fit over benefits for the spouses of gay service members.

According to American Family Association's “news” blog:

Young Americans 'pawns in a social experiment'

The Christian leader says moms and dads in America need to be aware of the implications of this policy.

Crews, Col. Ron (Chaplain Alliance)"I am fed up. I am tired,” Crews admits. “For the first time in my life, I cannot encourage someone to consider the military as career right now — as long as this administration continues to push our military down this road. We are in serious trouble."

He believes this policy change is going to have a significant negative impact on recruiting and retention. "Young men and women will not want to serve in an environment where they're being used as pawns in a social experiment," Crews concludes.
CARL is loosely affiliated with Alliance Defending Freedom. Its steering committee is composed of retirees, none of who served after the repeal of DADT. The feedback that I have gotten in the past is that these guys do not accurately represent military chaplains who generally had no problem with the repeal of DADT.
