How many deaths in Florida are required?

This is a daily occurrence in South Florida. We are armed to the teeth, When will we at least have a conversation? Authorities are searching for a man they say killed a woman and her two children in Miami over the weekend.

Investigators said the suspect shot and killed his girlfriend 39-year old Takeeya “KeKe” Fulton – a mother of six- and her 19-year old daughter inside their home overnight Sunday. He also shot two of her sons – a 17-year old and a 12-year old. The 17-year old died at the hospital while the 12-year old, at last check, was listed in stable condition.

Florida “preempts” municipal gun safety ordinances. Florida Statutes Annotated § 790.33(1):
Except as expressly provided by the State Constitution or general law, the Legislature hereby declares that it is occupying the whole field of regulation of firearms and ammunition, including the purchase, sale, transfer, taxation, manufacture, ownership, possession, storage, and transportation thereof, to the exclusion of all existing and future county, city, town, or municipal ordinances or any administrative regulations or rules adopted by local or state government relating thereto. Any such existing ordinances, rules, or regulations are hereby declared null and void.
