North Carolina: The other shoe drops as AAC pulls marquee games
The Atlantic Coast Conference football championship game, held in
Charlotte every year since 2010, was the last marquee college sporting event left in
the state during the 2016-17 season. The AAC has now withdrawn all post-season activity not involving North Carolina teams. This follows on the heels of the NCAA withdrawal from the state of all post-season games.
