Log Cabin's tacit endorsement of Trump

Gregory T. Angelo
Last week Log Cabin Republicans released their first endorsements for the 2016 elections with a list of nine candidates for Congress. They remain silent with regard to the presidential election. It is astonishing really. Their silence is tantamount to an endorsement of Trump.

Donald Trump's self-aggrandized outreach to LGBT citizens has consisted of claiming that he will be a friend to one minority (us) by discriminating against another minority (Muslims). If the campaign even has any LGBT staffers I am unaware of them. Meanwhile Trump has announced support for HB2, has claimed that he is opposed to marriage equality and has pledged to nominate justices to the Supreme Court who will overturn Obergefell v. Hodges.
“He is one of the best, if not the best, pro-gay Republican candidates to ever run for the presidency.”

President, Log Cabin Republicans
I do not know whether or not Angelo is married but I wonder if he still believes that Trump is pro-gay. On the other hand, we know where Hillary Clinton stands and if they had any sense at all they would endorse her.  A failure to reject and denounce Trump is, effectively, a non-endorsement endorsement.
