According to AFA:
Zales Jewelers should be ashamed of attempting to normalize sin by featuring two women getting married in their latest commercial. It shows two women in wedding gowns exchanging vows and wedding bands. Zales is promoting same-sex marriage and their new "Love and Pride" Collection. The "Love and Pride" wedding band collection, designed for the LGBTQ community with rainbow and matching bands, is “promoting Equality, Diversity, and Unity” and "celebrate their Love with Pride" as stated on their website.Shame? AFA should be ashamed of attempting to marginalize a sexual minority. There is a reason that the Southern Poverty Law Center has designated AFA a hate group. Moreover, Zales is paying for the use of those public airways as a private company. AFA is suggesting that Zales is doing something improper. Tim Wildmon, the hate group's leader has much to learn about propriety. It is his organization that does not conform to community standards. Aside from the nonsensical rhetoric about gay people, there is the ever-present threat that gays pose to children — according to the mullahs at AFA. Apparently, children who are exposed to the factual reality that there are loving gay people who get married, are somehow harmed by that awareness. This is the kind of stupidity — and hate — that AFA wants people to embrace.
Zales is using public airwaves to subject families to the decay of morals and values, and belittle the sanctity of marriage in an attempt to redefine marriage. Even though homosexuality is unnatural, this advertisement is pushing the LGBTQ agenda. An even greater concern is that the commercial is airing when children are likely watching television.
AFA provides links to call or email Zales along with social media links. They are also encouraging their sheep to visit Zales in order to have a conversation with the store manager. I am certain that, during peek season, he or she will have nothing better to do than to speak with some crazy homophobic Christian who wants America to look more like 1916 when homosexuals knew their place.
