Price scored ZERO on the HRC Scorecard

Tom Price
Donald Trump, that great friend of the LGBT community, has picked Tom Price for Secretary of Health and Human Services. According to the Human Rights Campaign, Price managed to score a perfect zero in the 114th Congress. Price opposed (among other things):
  • The Peters Amendment to prohibit LGBTQ discrimination by federal contractors in the Departments of Transportation and Housing and Urban Development.
  • The Maloney Amendment to prohibit LGBTQ discrimination by federal contractors in military construction and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • The Maloney Amendment to prohibit LGBTQ discrimination by federal contractors receiving funds that are appropriated by the Energy and Water appropriations bill.
Price voted for the Pittenger Amendment to prohibit funds appropriated by the bill from being taken away from any entity in North Carolina for any reason including fraud, failure to carry out the terms of a contract, or if used in violation of the law. This was the I heart HB2 amendment which passed the house by a vote of 227-192.

After the Supreme Court handed down its decision in Obergefell v. Hodges price issued a statement which included: “This is not only a sad day for marriage, but a further judicial destruction of our entire system of checks and balances.”

How many bigots does Trump have to choose before any of the gays who voted for the blowhard have the integrity to admit that they erred? Anyone?
