Hate group leader Tony Perkins can scam with the best of them

Tony Perkins (Family Research Council) is full of crap. According to a money-grubber email he has a “matching grant” up to $250,000. So-called matching grants do not exist. They are just restructured donations that are not contingent upon any other fund raising. Family Research Council is a designated hate group. It stands to reason because no reputable charity will commit what amounts to fraud to fill the till.

What Perkins intends to do with the money is more pernicious than the grift. Perkins' agenda is to roll back every right and protection that LGBT Americans now enjoy. That is his singular focus. Someone as dramatically and rabidly homophobic as Tony Perkins has “issues” which possibly include insecurity over his own sexuality.

The funny thing about it, though, is that none of Perkins' end-of-world prognoses ever come to pass. The federal hate crimes legislation, same-sex marriage, gay Boy Scouts, trans accommodations and a host of other “transgressions” were all supposed to be the end of civilization as we know it. If the measures themselves didn't do us in then his god was sure to punish us. Tony lives in a very strange world of his own design.
