What medical school did John Stemberger go to?

John Stemberger
Does Stemberger look like a psychiatrist or someone in need of psychiatry?
Attorney John Stemberger is the leader of the anti-LGBT hate group, Florida Family Policy Council. Stemberger is also the founder of the anti-gay “Christian” scouting program Trail Life USA. Tuesday, Stemberger has a reaction to the decision of the Boy Scouts of America to accept transgender boys. Stemberger thinks that his voice is so important that he paid to have his statement on Christian Newswire. Included is this gem:
Now untold thousands of boys in Scouting will be directly exposed to the serious psychological confusion that is characterized by those claiming to be transgender. As a society, we should have great compassion for children suffering from gender dysphoria while getting them proper counseling and professional help. Instead, the BSA is encouraging and facilitating a recognized mental disorder that has far reaching consequences to the health and safety of children. Recently, the American College of Pediatricians released a formal position paper entitled 'Gender Identity Harms Children' urging those working with children 'to reject all policies that condition children to accept as normal a life of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex.
First of all transgender children are not psychologically confused. That description would more aptly apply to Mr. Stemberger who regularly substitutes superstition for critical thinking. Moreover, exactly what does Stemberger mean by “exposed?” Does he think that gender dysphoria is contagious? Stemberger should spare us all the “compassion” bullshit. All we get from him his hate. What makes Stemberger think that trans kids are not actively getting counseling and therapy? Furthermore, dysphoria by definition is not a “mental disorder.” Finally, quoting the American College of Pediatricians as if they are the real pediatric professional peer group (that would be the American Academy of Pediatrics) not only makes Stemberger a bigot but a misleading bigot.
Further, knowing that boys and biological girls will be showering, dressing and camping in tents together create a clear child protection issue which is being ignored. It's simply stunning that a leading youth organization which parents entrust the protection of their children with has opted to again appease political activists rather than follow clear, common-sense best practices for child protection.
This is the very definition of fear mongering. What, exactly, does Stemberger perceive the danger to be?
