Brian S. Brown is intent on reminding us what a transphobic bigot he really is

Brian S. Brown
The latest email missive from National Organization for Marriage is titled: “Derail the Transgender Train.” I will never fully understand why they have this huge problem with trans folks. After all gender dysphoria is a well documented medical condition and they have no answers other than to demean transgender folks.

When Brian Brown does this he is attacking the entire LGBT community. He is also attacking LGBT kids. I wish that he had a higher price to pay for his ignorance, intolerance and being so damned inconsiderate of other people. It is like dealing with an ISIS leader.

Brown takes credit for Trump's utter stupidity:
It's been just eight days since we helped win our latest victory when President Trump took the courageous step to ban transgender individuals from serving in the military. While the left is howling with protest, we join with the vast majority of the American people in applauding this action. The transgender agenda of LGBT extremists and President Obama has no place in the military. It's a costly and disruptive agenda that takes the military's focus off of the core mission of defending and protecting our national interests.
Actually I saw a poll today that most Americans support trans service and there is nothing courageous about discrimination. Nor, for that matter, is there some secret agenda. People want to a) serve their country and; b) be judged based on their job performance. Is that really “extremist?” There is no evidence that this is either costly or disruptive and Brown claims.
Unfortunately, the politically correct nature of the transgender agenda is so embedded within government that numerous military officials are openly contradicting President Trump's directive. The head of the US Coast Guard went so far as to personally assure a transgender member that he "would not turn my back" on him, commenting that, "We have made an investment in you and you have made an investment in the Coast Guard, and I will not break faith."
Admiral Paul F. Zukunft, Commandant of the United States Coast Guard, makes more sense than Trump and certainly more sense than Brown — an ancient Crusader with a dull knife and a duller wit. He will complain vociferously when NOM is designated a hate group. It should be.

Wait for it … —
That means, just like in a military engagement, we need to continue the fight to hold ground we've already captured even as we push our fight forward. However, we can't do that without your support. Will you help?

I'll chip in $15 to keep up the momentum in the fight against redefining gender

I'll chip in $25 to keep up the momentum in the fight against redefining gender …
The strange thing is that Brown is the person who is redefining gender — a point that his constituency will never notice or appreciate. This thing goes on and on verbosely. Just one more passage for good measure:
It's important to realize that independent scientific experts have established that children and teens who experience confusion about their gender will almost always grow out of that confusion once they go through puberty.
That's quite untrue but Brown doesn't care. His aim is to raise money while defending the faith. The best peer-reviewed research that I have found on this comes from Dr. Kristina R. Olson at University of Washington. It is published to the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Academically, it is the first-ranked pediatrics journal among 119 in that category. I purchased the full article and have been meaning to write about it. I will get to it. The important thing is that Brown is dead wrong. Meanwhile, the abstract is here.
