University president expresses pride in discrimination

Everett Piper
To Everett Piper, truth means his religious beliefs irrespective of reality
Everett Piper is president of Oklahoma Wesleyan University. I am not going to quote much from his Washington Times polemic but first he seems to be upset with the folks at Right Wing Watch:
I was recently criticized by Right Wing Watch (an organization that defines itself as a “project of People for the American Way”) for supporting Tony Perkins and the Family Research Council’s “record on issues including gender identity.”
Piper explains in more detail:

Hate group: Disney's gay teen makes a show "adult content"

Andi Mack is a popular teen comedy-drama airing on the Disney Channel. The current season includes a gay kid which means, of course, that the teen show is unsuitable for teens. At least that is what the prudes and hate mongers at American Family Association seem to think.

According to Bill Bumpas (yet another porn name) at AFA's faux-news blog:
Parents are being warned that a Disney Channel series has introduced the network's first “gay” character – in hopes, according to the show's creator, of “attract[ing] an older audience.”

Carpenter and Volokh brief in support of Colorado Civil Rights Commission - UPDATED

Dale Carpenter and Eugene Volokh
Law Professors Dale Carpenter and Eugene Volokh favor nondiscrimination
Dale Carpenter has a named professorship at SMU Dedman School of Law. Eugene Volokh has a named professorship at UCLA school of law. Both are considered to be experts in constitutional law and they have filed an amicus brief in Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission. Their position is that there is no free speech right to deny a cake to a gay couple.

Of the two I follow Volokh more closely and occasionally trade email with him. Eugene courteously provided me with a copy of the brief. Suffice it to say, while Eugene supported marriage equality I am quite pleasantly surprised that he is not making a libertarian argument in favor of the baker.

No - People who "do not believe in gay marriage" are not labeled as bigots

Lisa Bourne
Conservative Christians have this desperate need to set themselves up as victims of persecution. Today at LifeSiteNews, Lisa Bourne writes (quoting a priest in part):
“When a Catholic is asked, ‘do you believe in gay “marriage,”’ he or she will be labeled a ‘bigot’ if they say ‘no,’ or a dissenting Catholic if they say ‘yes.’ It’s a no-win situation precisely because the question itself is based on a false understanding of marriage,” Fr. Lankeit said during the October 22 homily at Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral in Phoenix.

2ndVote doesn't do what they want everyone else to do

The latest failing attempt to boycott Target Stores
2ndVote attempts to influence where Christians shop and what they buy. By the way, 2ndVote is insolvent. They ended 2015 with a negative net asset value of $600 thousand. A board member, David Black — TN Rep. Diane Black's husband — lent the company $800 thousand to stay afloat so unless they got bailed out again in 2016 they are not going to be around much longer.

Hate group seeks to purge LGBT teachers

Laurie Higgins
Laurie Higgins - Image vintage unknown
It should come as no surprise that the rabidly bigoted Laurie Higgins of Illinois Family Institute wants people to fear LGBT teachers. Posts like “Who Is Teaching Our Children?” provide just one reason that IFI is designated a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. According to Ms. Higgins:
There are myriad reasons why young people are abandoning conservative principles, one of which is that our publicly funded schools are run by and our children are taught by fools who revile truth. Neil Rigler, an English teacher at Deerfield High School in Deerfield, Illinois, is one such teacher.

Last week, Rigler posted a link to an article from the far Left website PinkNews that criticized President Trump’s appearance at the Values Voter Summit, which is sponsored by the Family Research Council. Rigler added this comment:

Two hate groups in dismay over the MEI

The leadership of two anti-LGBT hate groups, American Family Association and Family Research Council, are terribly distressed that the Human Rights Campaign is evaluating municipalities based upon LGBT friendliness.
Tim Wildmon and Tony Perkins
Hate group leaders Tim Wildmon (American Family Association) and
Tony Perkins (Family Research Council)
This month HRC released the latest version of the Municipal Equality Index. The index rates municipalities on how welcoming and protective they are of LGBT citizens.

I have not done peer reviewed research on the MEI but assume that it has an effect on commerce. While we might constitute about 5% of the general population, it has been estimated that 40% to 50% of American families include one or more LGBT persons. Therefore, the MEI affects our tourism and our family gatherings.

An update and a note on how the opioid epidemic hits me personally

First an update:

I did receive a brief note from Father Hodges' bishop who said that he wanted to speak with the priest. We'll have to see. Hodges is not an ordinary blogger. For many people he is a symbol of authority. What concerns me most is whether or not his inflammatory blog posts are indicative of what he would say to the parent or parents of an LGBT child.

We will have to see if he moderates at all.

The Fundamentalist Christian paradigm

Cross, tombstone, death
It is quite simple really. If things break their way, conservative Christians will claim “our prayers have been answered.” If things don't break their way — blame the queers, God is good.

A couple of days ago, fundamentalist Christian radio host Rick Wiles claimed that gays were responsible for the shooting in Las Vegas that left 58 people dead and 546 people injured. His “evidence” was an interview that Ellen did with Jesus Campos. Campos is the Mandalay Bay security guard who was the first person to confront the shooter (whose name will never appear here).

The crackpots at AFA have a new cause - Vaccinations

This all has a very family ring to it. It represents the same pseudoscience used to attack LGBT people.
Thursday's headline from American Family Association reads: “Mom jailed for not vaccinating her son” by Chris Woodward. It appears in the org's news blog under the section “Science and Tech.” For starters, mommy was jailed for not obeying a court order. Mommy (Rachel Bredow of Michigan) is also an imbecile.

The “reasoning?”
Bredow has since been released … Bredow did not want to immunize her son with vaccines that were cultured using aborted fetal tissue.

As a result, Right to Life of Michigan supports Bredow's right of conscience in refraining from using those vaccines.

Apparently donating money to a hate group before oral arguments in Masterpiece Cakeshop will help the cause

Jerry Boykin
What shall we call Jerry Boykin?
Assistant Hate Group Leader?
General Jerry again, executive vice president of Family Research Council, a notorious anti-LGBT hate group. That would be retired General Jerry Boykin, the anti-LGBT, anti-Muslim Christian supremacist. General Jerry is also as full of crap as the rest of the FRC crazies. According to Jerry:
The Supreme Court has set December 5 as the date they'll hear arguments in Jack Phillips' historic religious liberty case.

Jack stood up for his Christian faith when he declined to make a cake for a same-sex wedding, and now he's fighting on behalf of all Americans who value religious freedom.

Just outrageous - IRS classifies Samaritan's Purse a church

Samaritan's Purse
Franklin Graham was quite honest. His plea to the IRS was that it was just too inconvenient to file annual reports for Samaritan's Purse as a charity. The Service bowed to his demand at some point and re-classified the operation as a church.

Samaritan's Purse did file an annual return for 2015. it shows revenue of $586 million and net assets of $387 million. It has a payroll of $75 million including $572 thousand for Graham (who takes another $250 thousand from Billy Graham Evangelistic Association). Graham also gets, at the organization's expense, a non-taxable housing allowance, first class and charter travel for he and his wife and personal services such as a maid, chauffeur or chef. Nontaxable benefits amounted to an additional $208,332.

Franklin Graham Repeats Dishonest BS to Support Discrimination

Franklin Graham
Christian supremacist Franklin Graham is perpetually pissed
Franklin Graham, a native North Carolinian, is outraged that North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper issued an executive order aimed at providing some accommodations for transgender people. Were Franklin not the son of Billy his job might be to dip cherries into chocolate.

According to the Christian Post:
Graham, the president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, warns that such an executive order could leave women and girls in danger because of biological male perverts who might take advantage of the policy to access female bathrooms, locker rooms and showers.

AFA affiliates include a church

Tim Wildmon
Hate Group Leader Tim Wildmon incorporated,
among other things, a church
American Family Association (a hate group) and the Wildmon family have created quite a few organizations in Mississippi. The documents provide a wealth of information regarding associated individuals who might not be employed by AFA as well as email and home addresses.

These are just the going concerns. AFA and the Wildmons have created a number of organizations that have been dissolved. It is virtually impossible to determine if any of these are separate from AFA as family run enterprises.

Appeal denied: Staver loses again - KY taxpayers on the hook for Kim Davis' mischief

Kim Davis and Mat Staver
Kim Davis and Mat Staver
Davis gushing with all the attention being paid her
On Monday it was determined, after appeal, that Kentucky taxpayers were on the hook for legal fees caused by Kim Davis' defiance of the law. The tab is now $224,703.

Hate Group Leader Mat Staver (Liberty Counsel) does not represent the state of Kentucky. Mat Staver and Liberty Counsel represent Kim Davis, the moronic Rowan County clerk who thought that it was perfectly fine to deny marriage licenses to gay couples in spite of their constitutional right to marry.

Yawn ... Drag queens reading to kids in the library poses an immense danger

Xochi Mochi
Xochi Mochi having some fun entertaining children
Leave it to Fr. Mark Hodges to attempt to disparage LGBT people. The Orthodox priest is obsessed with the lives of gay and trans folks. Today's polemic is titled: “Satanic-looking drag queen reads to children at library named after Michelle Obama.” And if the drag queen didn't look satanic, would that make a difference? Apparently the fact that the library is named after Michelle Obama has some relevance. I have absolutely no idea what the is and neither does the rather dull-witted Father Hodges.
Transvestite Xochi Mochi dressed as a satanic clown with red-tipped demon horns and read to little children for Drag Queen Story Hour at the Michelle Obama Public Library in California.

David Lane's trunk show moves to Missouri in December - Free meals and lodging - Corrected

David Lane
Anti-LGBT Christian Supremacist David Lane
Correction: In the original post Jason Taylor, a scheduled speaker, was misidentified as the NLFer. He is the pastor of Bar None Cowboy Church in Tatum, TX.

American Family Association (a hate group) is believed to be the principal source of funding for David Lane's American Renewal Project. ARP is not a federally tax-exempt organization. David Lane is a political operative and Christian supremacist. His objective is to put enough pastors in public office to effect a theocracy in America.

Lane's Issachar Training is named after one of the 12 tribes of Israel. According to 1st Chronicles 12:32
from Issachar, men who understood the times and knew what Israel should do—200 chiefs, with all their relatives under their command;

Transgender rape conviction has no bearing on public policy

In Wyoming a transgender woman, Michelle Martinez, has been convicted of sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl. It is a horrible crime and the perpetrator should be harshly punished.

This will start to bounce of the walls of the right wing echo chamber with Christians asking, rhetorically: “Isn't that what we have been saying all along?” The answer to that question is a resolute “No.” What they keep insisting is that men will pretend to be transgender to have access to women's facilities. Just today there is an example of that from Tami Fitzgerald, executive director of the North Carolina Values Coalition.

Fitzgerald is a five-watt bulb. According to her (according to the hate group American Family Association):

Prominent UK Neo-Nazi comes out as gay, ... and Jewish

Kevin Wilshaw
Now former Nazi Kevin Wilshaw
Kevin Wilshaw has trafficked in hate for nearly 40 years as a very visible campaigner for the UK's National Front. This all ended when friends at work began to tease him on suspicion that he might be gay or Jewish or both.

Wilshaw was so offended by the workplace maltreatment that he decided he had enough. He finally disclosed his secrets to News 4 in the UK.

Todd Starnes has a very odd notion of patriotism

Some Texas teens and Todd Starnes believe that they are defying
the Freedom From Religion Foundation — They are not.
According to Fox's village idiot, Todd Starnes:
The Christian flag flies alongside the Texas flag and Old Glory [at a public school].

And that's a big problem for a bunch of out-of-town atheist agitators—a mighty big problem.
That should be a problem for anyone who honors the Constitution because that Christian flag is flying at a public school. That constitutes the government's endorsement of religion and of one religion over another. Doing so is unarguably constitutionally prohibited.

Our erratic president and the vote

This past week President Donald Trump succeeded in doing what only Trump could do. Trump made George W. Bush look smart, capable and only slightly to the right of the ACLU.

Our erratic president is a pathological liar and a narcissist. Past presidents haven't always advanced the best interests of American citizens. Trump doesn't even care what those best interests are. Trump is a sociopath who is only interested in what is best for Trump — first, last and always. An irrational Trump has the nuclear codes. He also has the power to nominate justices to the Supreme Court and he is perfectly willing to do the bidding of cynical hate group leaders like Tony Perkins.

A priestly bigot - Disparages gay man's husband as "wife"

I have written from time to time about the homophobic activities of Orthodox priest, Father Mark Hodges. The man is obviously both a bigot and an idiot. Where does he get the notion that religion licenses disrespect and discourtesy.

To suggest that I am being disrespectful of Hodges constitutes a false equivalency. I am reacting to Hodges bigotry. He is free to contact me if he takes offense. In contrast, Hodges is referring to a gay man's husband as a wife. It is a deliberate act aimed at the entire community. He does not know the gay couple that he is referring to and they have done him no injury. He wants to demonstrate his childish contempt with what amounts to the kind of insult that we expect of a poorly raised eight-year-old.

Brown: God's on our side

George Soros
George Soros
Brian S. Brown's imagined nemesis
Hate group leader Brian S. Brown (International Organization for the Family) is incensed that George Soros just donated $18 billion to his Open Society Foundation.
Can you believe that, $18 billion?! The International Organization for the Family (IOF) is a primary antagonist to George Soros, and we have a budget that is a tiny fraction of one percent of what Soros has just donated to oppose us.
“Primary antagonist?” I doubt that Mr. Soros knows about the existence of Brian S. Brown or his little hate group. Nor was Soros' generous donation provided to oppose IOF. Soros provides funds to further his mission. Opposing IOF would be a waste of time and energy.

Confusion reigns at Witherspoon's pretentious pseudo-intellectual blog

Chad Felix Greene
Chad Felix Greene
It bears repeating that Witherspoon Institute, an ultra-conservative Catholic organization, was founded by Luis E. Tellez, an Opus Dei numerary, and Robert P. George. The odious pair were also co-founders of National Organization for Marriage. Its blog — Public Discourse — is edited by the closeted-yet-homophobic Ryan T. Anderson.

Thursday's offering is titled “I Was an Eight-Year-Old Drag Queen” by Chad Felix Greene. Greene claims to be a conservative gay Jew from West Virginia who is HIV+. I haven't a clue what he is doing at an anti-gay Catholic outlet. In any event; No, Mr. Greene, you were not an eight-year-old drag queen. He writes:

Blowhard Bill Donohue asserts that morality depends upon Christianity

Bill Donohue
This is what Bill Donohue looks like when he is extremely gleeful
Bill Donohue (Catholic League) writes: “Severing Ties Between Christianity and Morality Is a Fool’s Errand.” Apparently there are no moral Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, atheists or Hindus.  Granted, that is probably not what Blowhard Bill means but that is what he is saying. On the other hand he might just believe that the only truly moral people are Christians.

Donahue does provide some sobering information.
A survey by Statista reveals that in Belgium 68 percent of the people  believe that religion does more harm than good: Germany, Spain, Australia, Sweden, and Great Britain all top 60 percent. No nation disagrees with this conclusion more than Japan; only 26 percent agree that religion does more harm than good. The world average is 49 percent; the figure for the U.S. is 39 percent.

Christian supremacist hosting Stutzman: Religious beliefs are fiction unless Christians can discriminate

Hate group leader John Stemberger of Florida Family Policy Council has invited Barronelle Stutzman to speak at FFPC's annual bigotry-bash. Stutzman, you will recall, is the eagerly discriminatory Washington State florist who refused to sell her flowers if they were to be displayed at a same-sex wedding. Her attorneys at ADF are trying to get the Supreme Court to hear her case. Presumably, however, the outcome of Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado will determine Stutzman's fate. Oral arguments in that case are scheduled for Tuesday, December 5.

Perkins: That general wouldn't have dick-pic'd were it not for the gays

Tony Perkins
USA Today has reported that Army major general Joseph Harrington was sacked for sexting a non-commissioned officer's wife. The Frog has a deviant mind. He presupposes that it was a dick pic. The Frog doesn't have a dick. I just thought you should know that.

We get blamed for just about everything.

Some right-wing Christian whack job will inevitably claim that every tornado, hurricane, flood and earthquake can be attributed to a godly temper tantrum over LGBT people. While it makes no sense, the deity punishing the good over perceived evil is an essential part of the dogma.

Homophobic fliers at Cleveland State U coincide with the opening of the campus LGBT center

Follow your fellow faggots
Some people have too much time on their hands. Perhaps they are victims of stern potty training as toddlers. Whatever their malfunction, the have gotten the attention of the president of Cleveland State University.

I do not know what Fascist Solutions presumes to be but neither elegant nor intelligent come to mind. Anyone can scrawl mindless graffiti.

Father Mark Hodges constructs a world of fanatical fantasies

Fr. Mark Hodges
Fr. Mark Hodges
Orthodox priest, Mark Hodges is another one obsessed with LGBT people. Late Tuesday he wrote: “Transgender hormone blockers are ‘institutionalized child abuse’: pediatrician.” According to Hodges:
A nationally recognized pediatrician offered a jolting reality check about the dangers of encouraging children to think they are transgender and prescribing hormone blockers to prevent them from developing.

On October 11, the Heritage Foundation sponsored a forum on transgenderism at which Dr. Michelle Cretella said it is child abuse to facilitate gender confusion in children by helping them “transition” to the opposite sex.

Even the bats are terrified

Cliff Kincaid
Cliff Kincaid
Sketch via Southern Poverty Law Center
Cliff Kincaid is certainly no friend of the LGBT community. It is also increasingly obvious that Kincaid is no friend of mental hygiene either.

Earlier this month Kincaid questioned whether the mass shooting in Las Vegas was “an FBI sting gone bad.” After all, Kincaid wrote:
It is terrible to contemplate, but the possibility that Stephen Paddock was an undercover federal operative or informant cannot be ruled out. He may have been set up or used by ISIS and/or a federal agency in a scheme that backfired.

NOM claims victory - "Send more money!"

Brian S. Brown
Late Tuesday afternoon Brian S. Brown claimed: “A big victory in hand...more on the horizon.” National Organization for Marriage is taking credit for some utterance by Trump and claiming it is yyyuge.

Brown combines greed, deception and wishful thinking into efforts to keep the ailing National Organization for Marriage afloat. As a proxy for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, it was obvious that NOM was doomed after it lost United States v. Windsor at the Supreme Court four years ago.

ADF wants you to know six irrelevant things about the bigoted baker

One could argue that it is impolite to call Jack Phillips (Masterpiece Cakeshop) a bigot. When he apologizes to the gay couple he denied service to, I might think about that. Not only did Phillips discriminate but he claims that his is an essential service to “promote” the event. On top of that he and his lawyers are essentially blaming the gay couple for not meeting Phillips' standards for service. the hate group Alliance Defending Freedom has posted “6 Things You Didn’t Know About Jack Phillips and His Supreme Court Case,” written by Sarah Kramer. Briefly:

Must everything be a conspiracy?

This photo appears on a Christian Post story
Asking respect for trans people is unthinkable
Christian Post is running with: “Don't Use Religious Arguments to Combat Transgender Activism in Public Schools, VVS Panelists Say.” That's right. Better to pretend that this has nothing to do with religious opprobrium. According to CP:
Noted advocates for children and families are unmasking how transgender activism has entered the public school system, and urging Christians to put aside differences with ideological opponents to resist it. And, they say, they should resist this without employing religious arguments.

Amazon is Selling a Hate Group's Anti-Gay Tome

Brian Camenker
Hate Group Leader Brian Camenker of MassResistance
I pretty much live off of Amazon and Amazon Prime Now. Imagine my surprise to find that Amazon is selling a book titled The Health Hazards of Homosexuality. Its publisher, MassResistance is designated a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Speaking of health, the creepy leader of this hate group. Brian Camenker, is obsessed with gay people and their sex lives. His odd obsession objectively depicts a personality disorder. Psychiatrists tell us that many, if not most, rabidly homophobic people are compensating for their own sexual insecurities and inadequacies.

Hate group leader remounts his Target hobby horse

Tim Wildmon
Hate Group Leader Tim Wildmon
American Family Association, Tupelo, MS
By all accounts, American Family Association's boycott of Target Corp (NYSE:TGT) has been an abysmal failure. Target's earnings have been above expectations and the retailer keeps raising guidance. Target shares are trading at their highest levels since last February.

Target's financial realities don't affect hate group leader Tim Wildmon and for good reason. American Family Association has an incurious and unsophisticated constituency. Wildmon is sufficiently cynical to know that his potential donors are going to believe that Target is begging AFA for mercy. They believe it because they want to believe it. Evidence has very little relevance in that world.

Robert Knight tries to advance the anti-SPLC smear campaign

Robert Knight
Robert Knight knows a thing or two about hate groups. After all, he has been employed by at least three of them: Concerned Women for America, Coral Ridge Ministries and Family Research Council. It is therefore no surprise that Knight has authored a piece attacking Southern Poverty Law Center for The Washington Times. Knight's piece is titled: “The uses and abuses of hate.” The meta-title (what you see in your browser's info bar) is “Anti-Christian hatred leads to false accusations.” According to the subtitle of this polemic: “Falsely accusing opponents with hate is a devilish tool of the anti-Christian crew.”

When outlets want anti-trans BS they know where to turn

“The end game for Heritage, the Church and religious extremists is to thwart nondiscrimination laws protecting transgender people by discrediting the very existence of trans folks.”
Ryan T. Anderson, Michelle Cretella, Paul Hruz, Allan Josephson
(L-R) Ryan T. Anderson, Michelle Cretella, Paul Hruz, Allan Josephson

Heritage foundation has been busy. They are attempting to deliberately misinform the public about trans kids. They turn to the reliable sources.

Michelle Cretella is no longer a licensed physician but she is president of American College of Pediatricians. ACPeds has been designated an anti-LGBT hate group by Southern Poverty Law Center. The source of Cretella's “wisdom” on trans kids seems to come from the Vatican. A new name — Dr. Allan Josephson — emerges among the religious crackpots. Josephson is a professor of psychiatry at University of Louisville School of Medicine. He is also in private practice.

The dangers posed by these people cannot be overstated. In an effort to conform science to religious dogma these doctors are perfectly willing to compromise the health and wellbeing of children. I sent a note to Josephson's dean. While I fully believe in academic freedom it is reasonable to question whether or not his students are the recipients of instruction that is at odds with Josephson's own professional organization.\

A Christian activist making mischief while re-writing history

David Lane
Anti-LGBT Christian Supremacist David Lane
Saturday, David Lane is busy muddying the historical record to serve his purposes. The sanctimonious Lane is no stranger to dishonesty. In Lane's view anything is acceptable if done for Jesus. The post is titled God's Champion. Perhaps Lane is referring to himself.

In the way of background. David Lane is a determined political operative and theocrat. His goal is to propel Protestant pastors into elective office. Lane's American Renewal Project is sponsored by American Family Association, an anti-LGBT hate group. Lane also has the support of people like Mike Huckabee and Newt Gingrich.

Today I reached my limit

Friday, October 13, 2017. Trump's psychopathy is now so pervasive that I feel like I have journeyed through the looking glass. If I thought for a moment that Trump had the country's best interests in mind it would be easier to cope. Yet I know that Trump is doing what Trump has done his whole life. Trump is a sociopath whose only interest is Trump.

Little wonder why Trump's children are so creepy and awkward. To satisfy what remains of his base, Trump became the first sitting president to speak to the anti-LGBT Values Voter Summit; an event orchestrated by a notorious hate group. In his spare time, Trump deliberately sabotaged the Affordable Care Act. Trump is so desperate to win the argument that he is willing to inflict real damage on the country.

No Mr. Staver - A Serbian doctor does not serve your bigoted cause

Mat Staver
Mat Staver is a hate group leader. His hate group is Liberty Counsel and its primary goal is to prevent states and municipalities from passing nondiscrimination measures. As an adjunct to that, Liberty Counsel vigorously opposes laws banning gay or trans conversion therapy (which has no scientific basis) on minors. Staver considers those bans an imposition on Christianity.

Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Staver has sent out an email titled: “Sex-Change Surgery Regrets on the Rise.” The intent is to demonize transgender people as irrational.

According to Staver:

AFA's half-assed lawyer is confused - again

Abraham Hamilton III
Abe Hamilton
AFA in-house
On their faux news blog, one American Family Association's village idiots — Chris Woodward — writes: “Conservatives wage a new battle for free speech.”

AFA, an anti-LGBT hate group is displeased with a congressional joint resolution, PL115-58 which denounces the hate groups associated with the violence that erupted in Charlottesville, Virginia in August. In essence AFA is aligning themselves with white nationalists, neo-Nazis, the Ku Klux Klan and other miscreants — intended or not.

The summary of the resolution reads as follows:

Former anti-LGBT congressman likely headed to prison

Steve Stockman
Steve Stockman
Wednesday, an aid to former Texas congressman Steve Stockman, Jason T. Posey, pleaded guilty to federal charges of fraud for diverting charitable contributions to Stockman's reelection campaign. The government has agreed to request a lighter sentence in return for Posey's cooperation which includes testifying against Stockman. Posey is the second Stockman associate to reach a similar agreement. The 46 year old Posey is currently looking at spending the next 45 years in prison and paying a fine of $4.7 million.

Former Texas Congressman Steve Stockman never demonstrated much in the way of intellectual prowess or, frankly, mental stability. Stockman goes to trial in January where he will not be charged with his most egregious offense: The belief that everyone is as moronic as he is.

Trump to address hate-fest

Donald Trump
According to an email from hate group leader Tony Perkins of Family Research Council:
Today we have confirmation from the White House that President Donald Trump will speak to the VVS crowd this Friday morning. If you're on the fence about attending, jump on over to the VVS website to secure your spot now!
That would be the Values Voter Summit and it is really no surprise that Trump is attending. It is his base. The VVS is a gathering of some of the most extreme-right Christians in the country. Anti-LGBT animus is a common denominator where speakers are self-promoting vultures. Two people ostensibly fired by Trump will be there as well: Bannon and Gorka.

The anti-trans lesbian

Taylor Fogarty
Allegedly Taylor Fogarty via Twitter
Taylor Fogarty describes herself on Twitter as “Writer, lesbian, former liberal, and truth teller. Send support: https://www.patreon.com/taylorfogarty or https://www.paypal.me/TaylorFogarty.”

She is actually using her Twitter profile as a money-beg. No sense of dignity. Fogarty writes from time-to-time for the rabidly anti-gay Federalist. Tuesday it is: “What Two Former Trans Men Want You To Know About All The Lies.”

Father Mark, Porno Pete and an ex-gay walk into a bar ...

The Black Book
That image would grace other forms of science fiction
Orthodox priest, Father Mark Hodges, has taken it upon himself to promote Peter LaBarbera's annual barbecue which features crazed conservative Christians roasting LGBTs medium-rare. Just to make sure that this is all nutty enough, add “ex-gay” Stephen Black to the festive occasion as the featured skewer turner.

Some years ago the American Psychological Association did some research and found that ex-gay practitioners taught gay people how to pretend to be straight. The Catholic Church's Courage Ministry (which is minuscule) combines some pray-away-the-gay crackpottery with shame worthy of the most meddlesome Jewish mother. Those who don't convert with shouts of “praise the lord” are coerced into celibacy.

Raising money to raise money

Money Down The Crapper
Were Brian S. Brown my neighbor in South Beach he would have a sun-burned palm. It seems that Brown's physical presence includes a permanently outstretched hand (perhaps cemented in place) asking for money.

My contention is that National Organization for Marriage doesn't really do anything. There is no evidence that it actually works at anything other than raising money. NOM raises money to remain in business to pay salaries in order to raise money to remain in business and so on, infinitum.

Oh and Kim Davis is in Romania to spread marriage discrimination

Kim Davis
I thought that we had heard the last from Kim Davis, the Rowan County clerk who had to be forced by a court to issue marriage licenses to gay couples. It never seems to dawn on Davis that her two or three divorces don't make her a paragon of marriage virtue.

Having lost her case in this country, Davis is in Romania with representatives of the hate group, Liberty Counsel. They are pursuing a referendum that will limit marriages to one man and one woman.

AFA explains how critically important it is to discriminate against gay people

Hate group leader Tim Wildmon
Hate group leader Tim Wildmon
The odious American Family Association is designated a hate group for good reasons. Among those reasons is the promotion of the idea that gay people are second-class citizens.

Today on their fake news blog the busy bigots warn: “Birmingham bakers beware: your city goes 'inclusive.'” It seems that they are always warning about some pernicious “agenda” of gay people.
Supplied with millions of dollars, homosexual activists are attempting to win the "red" state of Alabama one city at a time.

Are you registered to vote?

Your vote is your voice
Most people can register to vote online. If everyone who opposed Trump had voted then Agent Orange could be planning his next bankruptcy rather than sitting in the Oval Office. No Gorsuch. Hate groups would not have influence over our government. No Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III.

With the apparent support of the hate group American Family Association, David Lane has trained a new crop of Christian pastors to run for office. They start out on school boards and city councils. They wind up as state and federal legislators doing real damage to LGBT people.

Michael Brown - Dangerous by choice

Michael Brown
Michael Brown is generally on my ignore list. Brown seems to be a smart man. Yet when confronted with a question he invariably chooses the explanation that most closely conforms to scripture regardless of evidence to the contrary. In doing so, Brown squanders his intellect. Case in point is his Tuesday polemic titled: “Why Transgender Activism Will Not Succeed in Changing America.” Brown writes:
Transgender activism will never succeed in reshaping our society for one simple reason: It is not natural. Biological differences are too deeply instilled in the human race. Male-female distinctives are too obvious and real. It is futile to declare war on gender.

Leave it LaBarbera to join LGBT rights to gun safety

Peter LaBarbera
Peter LaBarbera is now a frequent contributor to LifeSiteNews which pays him for submissions. On Monday, the ever-erudite LaBarbera offers: “Pro-LGBT ‘conservatives’ are not conservative. They are the worst sort of opportunists.”

And just what sin have these conservatives committed?
New York Times resident “conservative” op-ed writer Bret Stephens is using the Supreme Court’s 2015 Obergefell ruling imposing “gay marriage” on the nation as an example of a “great cause” and potential precedent for repealing the Second Amendment, which guarantees Americans’ right to own and bear guns.

Stephens is advocating for the repeal of the Second Amendment — a cherished “progressive” cause — in the wake of the horrific Las Vegas gun assault that left 58 concert goers dead and hundreds injured.

Washington Times refers to trans person as a "he-she"

Cheryl K. Chumley
Cheryl K. Chumley
Washington Times polemicist
As I finish one piece relative to the imbecilic spew of Cheryl K. Chumley at the Washington Times she reaches new heights for stupidity: “California crazy: Calling a ‘he-she’ a ‘he’ can now get you jailed.” The raw bigotry is just appalling. It is the kind of over-the-top rhetoric that got Chumley fired from her previous job. As she has written, blaming (of course) liberals:
It was just such minds that fired me a few years back from my local newspaper job for the offense of writing politically right when I should have gone left — for countering the leftist environmental views of the paper’s owners and pet green-grouping colleagues in a freelance expose that I wrote — get this — after receiving the go-ahead from one of my editors.

Washington Times redux: We shouldn't ban bump stocks because that will lead to other common-sense reforms

They all seem to relish ritual human sacrifice on the altar of greed.”
When it comes to gun safety those Moonies and their enablers at the Washington Times lack the most basic analytical skills. Come to think of it, when it comes to just about everything, the folks associated with the Unification Church have some significant intellectual gaps. Today Cheryl K. Chumley repeats her favorite theme over the past couple of days: Dem senator admits bump stock ban path to universal background checks.

That headline offers mindless fear mongering. Chumley is claiming that we should allow people to possess what are effectively machine guns. Nevermind that some deranged schmuck just killed 58 people and wounded another 500 with one of those devices. Oh, and the reason that we should allow people to have WMD is that not doing so could lead to possibly preventing criminals and crazy people from arming themselves. God forbid. The spectacular stupidity is boundless.
