NOM poised for "Major Announcement" - "Send money"

I am quite certain that the major announcement from National Organization for Marriage will be something concocted by Brian S. Brown to supposedly justify more contributions from the gullible. It is unlikely to have anything to do with marriage.
I am writing to let you know that we're on the cusp of making a major announcement in the next few days about a big new initiative we have planned for the new year – the launch of a program that will bring together all the major elements of our work: public education, grassroots engagement, judicial activism and policy advancement. I can't say much more right now, but I am very excited about this new approach!.

The initiative we're going to announce shortly is the core element of NOM's 2018 Strategic Plan. I'll be thoroughly covering all the elements in our plan as well in the days to come.
As you might have guessed, the above is followed by this:
Right now even as we're putting the final touches on our 2018 plans, we can't lose sight of the fact we are still short of the funds we need to hit our current budget objectives. Fortunately, we have a $250,000 year-end matching campaign underway (we've made great strides toward our goal), which means that every contribution we receive will be matched dollar for dollar until we hit the $250,000 goal.

It's critical that we end this year strong. That's why I am asking you to please consider becoming a Sustaining Member of our organization.
I have long believed that NOM exists to exist. They raise money to meet expenses (including Mr. Misadventure's salary) in order to raise money to meet expenses, and so on. The do not actually do anything beyond that.

I am not yet finished why my review. Suffice it to say that all of these supposed matching grants do not add up. The current campaign is for the 501(c)4 which means that donations are not tax deductible.
