A hate group has a post "Teaching Our Children to Appreciate Diversity"

American College of Pediatricians
Imagine my surprise when a hate group blogs about: “Teaching Our Children to Appreciate Diversity.” Yet that is exactly what one did on Monday.

The American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds) is a small hate group (the real professional peer organization is the American Academy of Pediatrics). ACPeds' president, Michelle Cretella is a staunch proponent of thoroughly discredited conversion therapy; pseudoscience used as a pretext for discrimination against LGBT people.

Cretella has been popping up at seemingly every right wing outlet lately to denounce “gender ideology.” A form of sexual identity that Cretella disapproves of is not an ideology and she is prostituting her education and training in the service of the Catholic Church and its extreme anti-LGBT animus.

I do not care to quote a great deal of the preposterous post. Two paragraphs will suffice.
Lead by example.

Dr. Christopher J. Metzler explains that words aren’t enough when it comes to teaching your kids. He said, “‘Do as I say but not as I do’ does not help children become more accepting of differences”. So as you teach your kids to be more tolerant, think about what kind of example you’re setting. How do you treat people who are different? How do you talk about them at home?

If you want your children to treat others with kindness, make sure that you are treating people kindly too.
Kindness and tolerance do not include falsely claiming that LGBT people have an illness that can be cured. Kindness and tolerance do not include falsely telling parents that their child's gender dysphoria is just a passing phase when doing so puts children's lives at risk. Kindness and tolerance would not seem to include falsely claiming that gay people are promiscuous or that gay men are predisposed to be child molesters. Distorting research to promote religious views about sexual orientation and sexual identity while pretending to be unbiased is neither kind nor tolerant.

The only example that the American College of Pediatricians sets is one of hate and divisiveness. Diverse to them means people they approve of. If that includes anything other than white-heterosexual-cisgender-conservative Christians, perhaps they can provide a list because they have not provided any evidence in that regard.
