Allow me to answer Tony Perkins' idiotic question

Tony Perkins
Hate group leader Tony Perkins (Family Research Council) writes: Title X's and No's. It begins (emphasis added):
Why bother with elections at all? If Democrats get their way, America will be run entirely by the courts. Like a kid running to mom when dad says no, liberals insist on taking the president to court for policies that are entirely his prerogative to set. Like the world's worst re-run, we've seen this strategy play out over and over again -- from military and immigration policy to HHS funding rules and school privacy. At some point, someone needs to remind the Left that voters set a new direction for the country in November 2016.

America isn't an oligarchy -- but you wouldn't know it by the number of lawsuits the Left has brought. Liberals have tried to sue their way to victory on abortion, transgenders in the military, and everything in between. And as usual, activist courts are more than happy to help. This week, two more federal judges tried to deny HHS the power it was granted at the ballot box by ordering the administration to hand over taxpayer money to Planned Parenthood for sex-ed programs that don't work!
I scarcely know where to begin. The place to start is probably with the fact that our elections do not change the Constitution. There are things that Mr. Trump can do and there are things that Mr. Trump cannot do. He was elected for a four-year term. The Constitution was ratified on May 29, 1790; nearly 228 years ago.

According to the Constitution we have three co-equal branches of government. Most of us learned that in grammar school. Apparently Mr. Perkins did not. The judiciary — not the executive branch — are the arbiters of the Constitution.

Then there is the hypocrisy. What the hell does Perkins think Alliance Defending Freedom, The Beckett Fund, Liberty Counsel and the Thomas More society (and others) do? To suggest that asking the courts to intervene is some form of liberal conspiracy is factually untrue.

Mr. Perkins frequently screams “states' rights!” At least when that is code for some form of discrimination. Washington State has a well established nondiscrimination law. That is being challenged at the Supreme Court because some fucking baker does not approve of gay people. That case was not brought by the SPLC. It has been argued throughout by Alliance Defending Freedom. When did ADF become part of the Left?
