Maybe gay activists will start to realize that playing with snakes--which is to say, coddling Islamic radicals--can be quite dangerous— Dinesh D'Souza (@DineshDSouza) June 13, 2016
I always thought that the purpose of presidential pardons was to right an injustice. Joe Arpaio was convicted of contempt for violating a court order. It was black and white. Trump was using his pardon power to advance his political interests.
Now D'Souza. As Joe Patrice pointed out this wasn't some kid busted for meth, represented by Legal Aid and facing a long prison sentence. D'Souza was represented by high profile lawyer Ben Brafman and he pleaded guilty and the judge ignored the advice of prosecutors and did not impose a prison sentence.
D'Souza, by the way, was convicted of campaign finance violations (he was caught red-handed). That just happens to be one of the crimes that Michael Cohen will likely be accused of.
Trump is a narcissist and a sociopath (not to mention a pathological liar). He is using the pardon power not only for political purposes but to possibly obstruct justice.
