According to AFA:
Indiana Republican Party activists overwhelmingly voted Saturday to reaffirm language first inserted in their platform when Vice President Mike Pence was governor that defines marriage as a union "between a man and a woman."Just try to make sense of this logic pretzel:
"It's very good news," responds Micah Clark of AFA Indiana.
He [Micah Clark] tells OneNewsNow that party leaders wanted to remove the language and replace it with language about "loving adults" instead.Does anyone understand this fuckwit?
"And under the name of inclusivity or being inclusive," he says, "they actually excluded 52 percent of the homes in Indiana headed by married couples."
So instead of inclusive, Clark says they were being exclusive.
AFA being AFA, they conclude:
"All the research shows that children who come from an intact home with a married mother and father do better in school," he explains. "They're less likely to be involved in crime, they're healthier, and they just have better risks of success than children in other family formations."I have no idea who or what they are quoting. That research that they are so fond of does not consider gay couples. It compares married, present parents to single-parent families or children of divorced parents. Numerous studies published to respected peer-reviewed journals conclude that children raised by gay couples are just as healthy, happy and secure as those raised by heterosexual parents.
In advance of the Supreme Court's deliberations over United States v. Windsor the usual suspects paid Mark Regnerus to author a competing narrative. He managed to prove that the children of dysfunctional families have problems. Revelation!
