Porno Pete "isn't scared"

Apparently Peter LaBarbera's hate-site was shut down for two weeks. You will forgive me for not noticing. Now the hate group leader (Americans for Truth About Homosexuality) has told another hate group, American Family Association, that he isn't scared.
The leader of a national organization devoted exclusively to exposing and countering the homosexual activist agenda is not afraid to challenge the infamous individual responsible for temporarily shutting down his website.
The implication is that LaBarbera should be fearful. According to AFA's Charlie Butts:
"This homosexual activist named Adam Flanders, who was convicted of sexual abuse with a boy a number of years ago, said that we had printed his mugshot from one of his arrests on our website, and he said that the mugshot was his copyrighted property," LaBarbera explains.
Anything is possible but that explanation makes no sense at all. Presumably the Internet provider is familiar with DMCA and copyright issues. How could they think that a mugshot was protected? Frankly, I couldn't care less.

Flanders' conviction was in 2008. He has another conviction that same year for assault. He served about six weeks in jail, was placed on probation and has since moved from Maine. Flanders and LaBarbera have been going at it since 2012. Flanders made a mess of his life. Obviously a conviction for sexual abuse of a minor is a very serious matter.

The reason that LaBarbera likes to write about Flanders is to imply that gay men are predisposed to be pederasts or pedophiles. That is untrue and that meme is one of the reasons that his little operation is deemed a hate group. It's like finding some guy convicted for sex with the babysitter and then claiming that straight men are obsessed with underage teen girls (perhaps they are).

LaBarbera should be fearful. He lacked the organization and records to file annual reports with the IRS. This resulted in the loss of tax-exempt status three years ago. Contributions to Americans for Truth remain non-deductible. Presumably LaBarbera's personal returns are based on corporate records. Hence it is likely that he has not filed accurate federal and state returns. These things have a way of catching up to people.
