CBN and The Federalist vs. a trans child

An applicable but unrelated video
According to one Emily Jones at CBN: Father Refuses to Allow 6-Year-Old Son to Dress Like a Girl – Now He's Been Charged with 'Child Abuse'. Not exactly. The kid's mother (the father's ex-wife) is trying to make some changes to their joint custody agreement to prohibit some of daddy's abusive behavior.
According to court documents, James' gender identity depends on which parent he is staying with. He dresses as a little girl only when he is with his mother, who calls him "Luna." However, Jeffrey told The Federalist his son insists on wearing boy's clothes and "violently refuses to wear girl's clothes at my home."
Not unless the mother's attorney is suborning perjury.

According to the filing:
Specifically, James is a gender expansive or transgender child and, by choice, now goes by the name Luna and is only known by her classmates as a girl. In the Order, the Petitioner/Mother was given the exclusive right, after notifying the Father, to consent to psychiatric and psychological treatment of the children. The Mother sought proper psychological treatment for the child and kept the Father fully informed.
I think that we can safely assume that, if the child has transitioned for school, she is a transgender girl. No one could ever force or influence a cisgender boy to dress as a girl for school.

The more likely reality is that the father is actually prohibiting the kid from affirming her gender in his home. That is child abuse.

Getting back to CBN:
The mother accuses Jeffrey of "emotionally abusive behavior" towards James by refusing to affirm his identity as a girl. Court documents list at least one example of "abuse," which includes cutting James' hair and "other non-affirming actions."
If a Texas court can use correct pronouns and not deadname the kid then CBN should be able to do so.

According to the filing:
In response to Luna's choices, the Father has engaged in increasingly aggressive behavior, including physical force, toward the Mother. His actions are clearly intended to threaten and intimidate the Mother. Further, the Father has engaged in emotionally abusive behavior toward the child (as example only, haircutting and other non-affirming actions), Although unclear if this behavior rises to the level of family violence at this time, the Father's aggression is becoming more common and more intense.
The child has transitioned for school. Giving her a boy's haircut is just cruel. The father apparently believes that he can force the child to be cisgender. Daddy better get used to the fact that he has a little girl who deserves his unconditional love.
The Federalist reports the mother wants to strip Jeffrey of his parental rights.

"She is also seeking to require him to pay for the child's visits to a transgender-affirming therapist and transgender medical alterations, which may include hormonal sterilization starting at age eight," the report continues.
Did I mention that the article in The Federalist was authored by Walt Heyer? Heyer is an insane ex-trans religious zealot who acts exactly like the holier-than-thou ex-gays.

There is nothing in the court papers about a transgender-affirming therapist (I don't even know what that is) and Heyer left out a step. The papers mention psychiatric and psychological treatment. If the girl has been objectively diagnosed as having gender dysphoria and if the condition is creating severe distress and if transitioning relieves the child's suffering then the child will be treated according to the gender-affirming care model which is the recommendation of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Apparently, that is what has occurred.

Presumably Luna has multiple healthcare providers. Walt Heyer (The Federalist), Emily Jones (CBN) and Luna's father are essentially accusing those medical professionals of malpractice.
Eyewitness accounts support Jeffrey's observations of James preferring to be a boy.

"Based on the three occasions I've spent time with him, I'd say he acts and looks unmistakably like a healthy six-year-old boy… I am praying for James, an average six-year-old boy, a sweet-natured, intelligent, lovable and at this point particularly vulnerable young man, caught up in a titanic clash of worldviews," Bill Lovell, the senior pastor of Christ Church Carrollton said.
Worldviews?  More like medical science vs. superstition. It's a replay of evolution vs. creationism and all the other nutty things that religious conservatives subscribe to.

Who has the training and experience to properly evaluate and treat Luna? Her doctors or a Christian minister?
